O God, the refuge and defender of all people, we Thy Knights praise Thee who blessed the arms which were borne in Thy Holy Name at the great Siege of Jerusalem and Who thereby gave victory in adversity to Thy Knights at the walls of the Holy City ; O Lord, our God , may that Victory be the pattern that always grants victory within our walls, and abundance within our towers. O God , we give Thee thanks for that heavenly conquest which established the tradition of Knighthood for the whole world , and we do pray that always in our triumph over the pangs of strife , we , may forever remember Thy Knights who fought in Thine honour.
